1. Where are you based?

2. Who will be DJ'in for me?

We have a team of 10 excellent DJs, all with over 15 years experience in weddings, birthdays & corporate events.

3. Can you mix? What genres can you play?

We can mix a wide range of music, covering many genres, including 60’s Motown, 70’s Disco, 80’s Soul, 90’s Club Classics, Old Skool Garage and much more.

5. Do you take song requests?

Yes, we encourage clients to provide a list of favourite songs (30-60 songs) prior to the event​.

7. How much do you charge?

Our prices range from £600 to £1,500 depending on the time of year, length of the performance and what add-ons are required. For an instant quote click here

8. Do you have Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and Portable Appliance Tested (PAT)?

Yes, if the venue requires PLI and PAT, we can provide both.

10. How long does it take you to set up?

Our standard package normally takes 1 hour to set up but if additional lighting or speakers are required, we could take 1.5 hours at most. We require 1 hour to pack down at most.

11. How much space do you require for your setup?

We require a space at least 3 metres wide and 2 metres deep. The floor must be flat, level and solid.

12. How do I secure the booking?

Upon client's signature, Nicholls Entertainment will reserve the time and date agreed upon above. A reservation deposit of 50% will be due 5 days after the date of signing this contract. The deposit can be paid by BACS transfer (with no fee) or debit/credit card (with small bank fee). The reservation deposit will be non-refundable, even if the date is changed or the event is cancelled for any reason, including an act of God, fire, extreme weather and/or any other reason beyond either parties' control. The reservation deposit is applied towards the total contracted amount. If the above-mentioned reservation deposit is forfeited, an additional deposit of 50% will be required to secure a new service date. The client understands and agrees that the final balance is due 30 days prior to the event. The balance payment can be made in the form of BACS transfer (with no fee), debit/credit card (with small bank fee) or cash. Failure to make the final balance payment on the scheduled date will result in a breach of contract and the client will forfeit event coverage with no refund of the reservation deposit. If the client cancels the services that are the subject of this contract prior to the service date for any reason, regardless of fault, the entire deposit shall be forfeited and will result in the cancellation of this contract by Nicholls Entertainment. If the cancellation occurs by client for any reason, within 90 days prior to the event date, and Nicholls Entertainment is not able to find comparable employment through ordinary due diligence for the date of the event, Nicholls Entertainment shall reserve the right to demand and client agrees to pay full payment of the contract amount contained herein. Overtime may be available on the day, although not guaranteed, at a rate of £100 per hour.

13. Do we get to meet you before our Wedding day?

We can have a face-to-face meeting or an online meeting via Zoom or Skype, depending on your location.

14. Can you play past our agreed ending time?

Yes, but this is at our discretion and the discretion of the management of the venue. Additional hours are charged from £100.00 per hour.

15. Will you do events that don't have access to main power, such as a marquee?

Yes, but the generator must be provided by the client and must meet our requirements.

16. What set up will you provide?

Our standard package includes

  • White or black DJ booth.
  • PA sound system (up to 150 guests).
  • Wireless Microphone
  • Mutli-fx Light Bar
  • 8x mood uplights.

18. Is there a way of seeing you perform live before we book you?

We host regular brunch parties in Essex, if you would like to see us live, in addition Tony Nicholls has a weekly radio show on Centreforce DAB radio

19. Have you DJ'd with a sax or bongo player before?

Yes, we work with saxophonists and bongo players most weekends and they are a great addition to the party. We have an excellent roster of live musicians on our agency.

20. How far do you travel?

We travel all over the UK and also to destination weddings in Europe.

21. We'd like a custom mix for our First Dance. Can you do this?

Yes, we can do this.

22. Do you provide any add-ons?

Yes, we can supply the following
